We believe that there is one true God, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, who is distinctly one God existing in three persons (the Trinity). We believe that God sent his son Jesus to die on this cross for our sins and to redeem the world. We believe that God never quits loving us and that he chases his children with undying compassion and wants each person to decide freely to come back to Him.
(Genesis 1, Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:26-38, Luke 15)
We believe that Jesus is exactly who the Bible says he is: The Son of the Living God, who came to bear the sins of the world and save us all through his brutal death, burial and resurrection. We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin and lived a pure and sinless life. We also believe that Jesus will physically return to earth one day to redeem the church and carry out God’s plan. We believe in all of Jesus’ teachings and embrace his ideas on love, grace, and forgiveness. We also believe that every believer should live as Jesus lived. We believe that it is through Jesus alone that our world can change.
(Matthew 3:13-18, Luke 9:28-36, John 12-13, Matthew 22:34-40, Colossians 1:15-20, Philippians 2:1-11)
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Trinity, is our guide and counsel as Christians. We also believe that the Holy Spirit awakens the hearts of non-believers and initiates belief. We believe that Jesus gave the Holy Spirit to his early followers to guide them in the application and wisdom behind his teachings. We believe that the Holy Spirit lives permanently in each believer and helps each believer to be able to understand scripture and their own unique spiritual gifts while at the same time helping each believer to live a Christ-like life.
(John 16:5-15, Acts 1-2, Acts 9, Galatians 5:22-23)
We believe that the Church is the body of Jesus on earth. As the Bible teaches, we believe that the Church is the Bride of Christ. We believe that God uses ordinary, sinful people to lead His Church to extraordinary things. We also believe in the authentic community of the Early Church and strive to model that type of community within our ministry.
(Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2, Ephesians 5, John 17:20-26)
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe that it contains no contradictions or errors. We believe that the Bible can be understood and applied to every life. We believe that the Bible should be the primary resource for the daily growth of a believer.
(2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe that every person is in need of a Savior and that salvation can only come through accepting Jesus as that Savior. We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
